This isn’t a conference that’s just about the keynotes.

The Experiential Tracks are a collaborative environment between churches and church leaders–where innovations and learnings happen in real-time as we solve real problems for real people.

Each track is intentionally designed to foster deep collaboration, active facilitation, and hands-on interaction. Led by seasoned church leaders who are experts in ChurchOS®, these sessions are longer to allow for both personal discovery and practical application. Each track builds progressively, guiding you from foundational insights to actionable steps. To get the most out of the experience, we recommend committing to a single track throughout the conference, ensuring a cohesive and impactful learning experience.

NOTE: We strongly encourage individuals and teams new to ChurchOS, those self-implementing, or anyone looking to deepen their understanding to attend the ChurchOS Essentials Track. This foundational session will provide essential insights and tools to effectively navigate and utilize ChurchOS® in your ministry.

  • Track Leader: Holly Gillespie and Jeremy Thiessen

    Are you self-implementing, new to ChurchOS, or just looking to learn more? This track is for you and your team TOGETHER! The ChurchOS Essentials Track is for leaders and teams who are self-implementing ChurchOS with our book, digital Activate Experience, or just getting started. This track will deep dive into the foundational tools and principles of ChurchOS in a way that’s both practical and transformative.

    Led by experienced ChurchOS Activators and Coaches who are actively using ChurchOS in their own ministries, each session offers relevant insights and culminates in equipping you with an Intentional Growth Plan—a roadmap to activate the Great Commission and amplify your church’s impact in the community. You’ll leave with an actionable, clear plan that prioritizes what’s most important for your church’s growth and mission today.

    Whether attending as an individual or with your whole team, you’ll experience a mix of interactive instruction and practical application, tailored to help churches of any size. To maximize your experience, we recommend reading Intentional Churches or listening to the Book Podcast beforehand. Join us and build a foundation for impactful growth and transformation in your ministry!

  • Track Leaders: Jim Sheldon and Rodney Elliot

    “Empowered Ministry Leaders: Building Connection and Taking Action”

    Join us for the Ministry Department Leaders track—where connection meets action! Designed for passionate leaders within ministry departments implementing ChurchOS, this track invites you to engage, share, and grow alongside fellow leaders from your specific department. Whether it’s Children’s Ministry, Worship, Connections, Groups, or more.

    Facilitated by ChurchOS Activators and IC Coaches who are actively using ChurchOS in their own ministries, this track offers invaluable, real-world insights. These facilitators have embedded ChurchOS tools, thinking, and design into their ministries and can help equip you with practical strategies to tackle the challenges you face daily.

    Through lively crowdsourced discussions, you’ll explore how to leverage ChurchOS tools to address specific issues within your ministry. Whether it’s enhancing volunteer engagement, improving communication, or equipping your team to reach the One, you’ll collaborate with peers to brainstorm innovative solutions and best practices that you can implement right away.

    This is not just about ideas; it’s about actionable steps and real change. You’ll leave with practical strategies and tools and the confidence to apply them in your context.

  • Track Leader: Matthew Robinson

    “Leading a One-Aware Church”

    This track is specifically crafted for Lead Pastors. Together, we’ll explore what it means to lead an evangelistically activated, “One-aware” church. Topics include accountability, vision casting, reporting, fundraising, and governance, and more. It will be led by master IC Coaches who serve in executive church leadership roles.

    You’ll connect with other senior pastors on the same journey, exchanging insights, strategies, and lessons learned. Through facilitated discussions and open Q&A sessions, we’ll create a supportive environment for candid conversation and meaningful connection. 

    You’ll hear how other churches are developing and communicating a compelling vision that inspires and mobilizes the church community. You’ll learn tools to help you articulate your vision clearly, align your team, and rally congregational support for lasting impact. With practical tools and strategies, we’ll discuss how to turn vision into actionable steps that resonate with every person in your church.

    Join this track to deepen relationships with fellow leaders, gain valuable resources, and leave with a clear plan to drive your church’s vision forward with purpose.

  • Track Leaders: Mark Warren and Jim Stanley

    “Empowered Eldership: Leading with Wisdom and Unity”

    Being an elder or church board member comes with a lot of responsibilities. This track is thoughtfully designed for church elders and board members who want to grow in their leadership and strengthen their impact on the church. In these sessions, you’ll connect with other elders while you explore what it means to lead with wisdom and integrity.

    Each session offers mentorship from IC Coaches with deep knowledge of church governance. Core topics include financial stewardship, navigating theological discussions, and building a strong lead pastor-elder relationship. You’ll also dive into the practical nuts and bolts of being an elder, from leading efficient, focused meetings to fostering open and productive communication with church staff. 

    Sessions will be interactive and collaborative and you’ll gain hands-on experience with foundational ChurchOS tools that will empower you and your fellow elders to lead with clarity and purpose.

    Join us for an inspiring, relational experience, where you’ll build lasting connections with fellow elders and grow in unity as you serve your church community.

  • Track Leaders: Tyler Hari and Chad Ferris

    "Mastering the Role of the ChurchOS Activator"

    This track focuses on empowering ChurchOS Activators to excel in guiding their churches through the ChurchOS journey. Led by veteran executive pastors and IC Coaches, this highly interactive session will tackle the unique challenges of the Activator role, allowing you to collaboratively address issues, share insights, and build valuable relationships with other Activators.

    Lead Activators and non-lead activators will be grouped together to provide more peer learning and collaboration.

    Attendees will dive into advanced ChurchOS tools, exploring the best rhythms and cadences for using our tools effectively throughout the year. This track will also cover essential soft skills, including how to lead effective meetings, manage Vision Initiative Projects (VIPs) from start to finish, and communicate clearly to keep teams aligned and motivated. The Activator role is pivotal—just like a quarterback—connecting the dots for the team and ensuring everyone is moving in the same direction. 

    Whether you're new to the role or looking to deepen your expertise, this track will leave you equipped with tools, strategies, and a supportive network of fellow Activators to drive lasting impact in your church.

  • Track Leaders: Bart Rendel and Roger Clark

    “OneLife: How to Create Church-wide Ownership of the Great Commission”

    This track is specifically designed for churches interested in implementing OneLife in the next 12-18 months. OneLife is the latest toolbox from IC built to bring ownership and alignment with the Great Commission to your congregation. Our first OneLife initiative focuses on the practical habits of evangelism designed to empower and mobilize your church for effective spiritual influence. This six to twelve month church-wide initiative equips your entire congregation (beginning with leadership) to practice the important habits of Great Commission ownership. The end result is every member of your leadership team and congregation will learn how to live a One-ware and activated life.

  • Holly Gillespie

    ChurchOS Essentials Track

    Executive Director, First Christian Church
    Newburgh, IN

    Holly Gillespie is the Executive Director at First Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana where she has served in various roles since 2004. During those years she has experienced and led through the many ebbs and flows of church life from exciting growth to church hurt and survival to healing and rebirth. Her heartbeat is prayerfully partnering with the Holy Spirit to drive organizational and team health through intentional growth planning, teaching, and equipping others. Holly is a ChurchOS Activator and recently joined the IC Coaching Team. In her free time she enjoys drinking a good latte, hiking, reading, and hanging out with her husband, 3 teenagers, and 2 dogs.

  • Jim Sheldon

    Ministry Department Leaders Track

    Executive Pastor, Mission Church
    Ventura, CA

    Jim was part of the team that planted Mission Church in 2011, where he currently serves as the Executive Pastor. Mission Church has been using the Church OS principles and tools to create alignment, develop leaders, empower volunteers and activate the church since 2014. Jim started coaching with Intentional Churches in 2015 and has seen these concepts produce results in churches of all sizes and models.

  • Rodney Elliott

    Ministry Department Leaders Track

    Executive Pastor, Pathway Church
    Wichita, KS

    Rodney Elliott is a farm kid from Kansas who was called into ministry and now serves as the Executive Pastor at Pathway Church in Wichita, Kansas. Rodney has an amazing wife Jenny and four kids Ethan, Kailee, Brianna, and Lauren.

  • Tyler Hari

    Activator Track

    Executive Pastor, Eastview Christian Church
    Normal, IL

    Tyler has been married to his best friend and better half Jessica for 20 years. They have 4 children, three boys and a girl (19, 16, 14, & 9). Tyler loves all things sports, church, water, and spending time together as a family. He enjoys working out, reading, and traveling. He also loves talking about adoption and homeschooling.

    He's worked at Eastview Christian Church for 16 years, the last 9 of which, he's served as the Executive Pastor.

  • Chad Ferris

    Activator Track

    Youth Pastor, Momentum Christian Church
    McDonough, GA

    Chad spent 15 years in the private sector working in Information Technology before stepping in to vocational ministry in 2013. He’s been married for 26 years. He and his wife have two sons. He’s had the blessing of God putting him in places he wasn't prepared to go and giving him the grace to learn while he’s there. Chad enjoys developing people and building systems.

  • Matthew Robinson

    Lead Pastor Track

    Pastor of Ministries and Administration, First Orlando
    Orlando, FL

    For the past ten years, Dr. Matthew Robinson has served on the Executive Team at First Orlando as Pastor of Ministries & Administration. He loves helping teams simplify complexity. A former college professor and church planter, Matthew is a lifelong Floridian. He loves spreadsheets, baking, monorails, his wife Rachel and their two daughters.

  • Mark Warren

    Elder Track

    Pastor of Operations, Eastview Christian Church
    Normal, IL

    Mark serves as the Pastor of Operations at Eastview Chrisitan Church. He has served as a coach for Intentional Churches since 2014. Mark is also sought after as a coach for board governance, strategic growth plans for organizations, and life plans for individuals and couples. Hobbies include playing games with family, March Madness, Chicago sports teams, and hiking. He and his wife Rachel have been married for 35 years and have four young adult children.

  • Jim Stanley

    Elder Track

    Executive Pastor, Plainfield Christian Church
    Plainfield, IN

    He's spent thirty years in ministry, most as an executive pastor, currently serving as executive pastor at Plainfield Christian Church, west of Indianapolis, and has also coached pastors, leaders and organizations in their goals, projects, strategies in the context of healthy relationships.

    Jim and Jennifer have been married since 1989 and have four adult children, a married son, Clark, the father of their first grandchild (a grandson), and triplets – a married son, Jack, a son, Trey, and daughter, Erin. All three sons live in Cincinnati. Erin lives in Birmingham, where she'll be graduating from dental school (May ’25).

  • Bart Rendel

    OneLife Track

    Co-Founder & CSO, Intentional Churches
    Las Vegas, NV

    Bart has dedicated his life to helping churches reach more people for Christ. His passion for serving churches comes from his upbringing as a pastor’s kid and learning from his parents about the intentionality of reaching and growing people in Christ. His conviction runs deep. Bart served as an executive leader for over eighteen years at Crossroads Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky, and Central Christian Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he and his family remain deeply connected. He and his wife, Catherine, have two children. Bart occasionally plays a round of golf, but he always takes in Kentucky Wildcats games.

  • Roger Clark

    OneLife Track

    Adult Ministry Pastor, Harvester Christian Church
    St. Charles, MO

    Roger Clark is in his 49th year of ministry in the church and Christian higher education. He is currently the Adult Ministry Pastor at Harvester Christian Church in St. Charles, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. His doctorate is in organization and leadership, and areas of ministry include spiritual formation, adult education, evangelism, and worship. He serves as an evangelism coach for Intentional Churches. Roger is married and has three adult children and seven exceptional grandchildren. Other interests include reading, classic rock, coffee, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
